and compare normal and bold type for CJK portion of fonts.

==> Only the Roman char's show up in bold type.

Observed in Win32 (11-10-17-M11) and Linux (11-10-17-M11).
Fine in Mac (11-08-08-M11).

I think that this bug is very very critical for DBCS.
Why do you put [nsbeta+2]??

VYV03354@nifty.ne.jp's patch works fine on current CVS.
Installed patch + made modification to avoid looking for simulated font weights 
when it is unable to load the font to begin with.

This problem seems to occur on Linux and Mac.
VYV03354@nifty.ne.jp, do you create a patch of Linux and Mac??
Sorry, I know little about Mac and Unix.
But it seems to work fine 2000050908 nightly build on Mac.
Unix problem is covered by bug 15611.
Verified fixed in Mac 05-11-08-M16 and Win 05-11-09-M16 blds.
