User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/118.0
Steps to reproduce:
TB v115.3.2
I adjusted column widths in the message/thread pane
Actual results:
The settings are retained during the session as I contract and expand folders. When TB is exited, the settings are lost.
Expected results:
To avoid having to re-position the column widths at each startup, I expected the settings to be saved and applied.

Reporter,
Are you seeing this also with version 115.9.0 or newer?

Jim,
If you have multiple tabs open, are they also gone after Thunderbird restart?

How hard can it be to save the changed settings?
Almost no one else is seeing this, including no one in development and triage. So the following would help ...
- An error message?
- Do you know why width is not being saved?
- Are column additions and removals saved?
- What desktop environment?
- Can you find the regression range? https://mozilla.github.io/mozregression/

An error message?
Do you know why width is not being saved?
No idea.
I have noted that the settings persist for one invocation of TB, The 2nd and following invocations revert to some saved preset.
Are column additions and removals saved?
Yes.
What desktop environment?
Gnome 47.0
Can you find the regression range?
No. I had thought I had reported this at some point. Apparently not: I cannot find such a report.
I had accepted the issue until recently, starting with v115.
