1865362 - Cards View: Threaded line and thread styling should not appear on Group by Sort items

In the Cards View, Grouped by Sort items can appear as though they are threaded items and connected to each other even though they are individual messages.

This will require design decisions during coding this. How should grouped messages look?

1. Go to Message List Display Options.
2. Select Cards View.
3. In Sort by, select Grouped by Sort

Current Behavior:

Items for a specific grouping, such as Date, are grouped as though they are a thread with threaded lines.

Expected Behavior:

Items should not appear as though they are threads. Messages are unthreaded and individual items in Group by Sort.

I wrote this message to Micah: "Grouped by Sort is being affected by thread styling, but should not be impacted by threads styling, I think. Or at least the dotted line should not appear. Keeping the styles minus the dotted line might work."

There are different ways this could be approached.
