"folder location" toolbar custom button becomes inoperative after a while

Steps to reproduce:
(Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon - Thunderbird 115.4.1. )
In the upper (main) toolbar I've added the "folder location" button to choose which folder to display (I don't use the left pane for folder selection, because the "folder location" button lets you display a folder by navigating through a more discreet drop-down menu system). I've noticed that this access, while it always works well when Thunderbird launches, suddenly becomes inoperative after I've used Thunderbird for a while (and made a few manipulations).
Actual results:
The button does give a drop-down menu for selecting a folder to display, but it doesn't give any result in terms of changing the folder display. The method I've found to solve the problem is to close and reopen Thunderbird.

Are you still seeing this in version 128?

Do we have reports of this in support?
I can't recall any reports regarding this button, let alone issues about it's malfunction. It seems like a cumbersome option for navigating folders, especially when there are add-ons better suited for the purpose (names beginning with Quick Folder).

AS others - not seeing anything in Thunderbird Support Forum.
Using Windows 10 OS - not Linux, But I'll add the button to my Unified Toolbar (v128.6.1esr) and give it test.
UPDATE:
Confirm - after updating to 128.7.0esr, I noticed the 'Folder Location' had stopped working.
Used 'Unified' toolbar 'Customise'
Move it off and put it back - saved not available so did not use - returned to normal Mail tab and discovered it was suddenly working ok.
