Now might be a good time to ask... in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1873809#c0
the version ranges were for the latest mitmproxy found in the json :https://pypi.org/pypi/mitmproxy/json

but as it is clearly turning out now, mitmproxy 8.1.1 may have slightly different version ranges (e.g. for wsproto mitmproxy 10 was okay with <1.3, but mitmproxy 8.1.1 needs to be <1.2 )
but I am not sure how to find out what those are for 8.1.1 (since that json only shows the dependencies for the latest version)

Is there an easier way to find out? Otherwise I may just be filing a bug like this one at a time if that's okay too.

I'm no expert in this area, but I see what you mean and I found https://libraries.io/pypi/mitmproxy/8.1.1 -- see dependencies on the lower right side.

I also don't mind iterating for a while if we need to!

Thanks and great find! That is exactly what I needed. I will cross reference again and file a follow up bug for missing ones :)
