User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:122.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/122.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Firefox on Android.
- Tap the search field.
- Watch how the keyboard appears.
Actual results:
- The Android navigation bar changes its color for a second (becomes darker).
- Keyboard appears.
Expected results:
- The keyboard should appear without color glitch on the Android navigation bar.
The issue is persistent within the Stable, Beta and Nightly versions.
NB: such wrong UI behavior happens while sharing. For some strange reason, the Android navigation bar becomes darker until the sharing screen is closed.
NB2: the issue persistent both on the Nothing Phone 2 and Pixel 7 Pro with Android 14.
The described issue is perfectly illustrated in the video of the issue 1864893:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1864893
Please take attention to the behavior of the navigation bar.

Thank you for the report!
I have attached a short video with what I think your report is about: tapping on the search field triggers the keyboard to be displayed and the device's navigation buttons alongside with the keyboard have a grey theme.
Is this what are you experiencing? Is this the reported issue about?
Regarding the sharing part, it is intened that the background behind the sharing prompt is greyed out.
Tested on the latest Firefox for Android 123.0 build, with a Samsung Galaxy S24 (Android 14) device.

No, the navigation bar should match the keyboard theme. I'm talking about 0,5 second grey blink while the keyboard appears. You could also see this on the video you attached.

Now I understand what this ticket is about.
The flicker is visible for a brief second, so I'll leave the S4, and confirm the bug.
Reproducing also on Realme GT Master Edition (Android 13), on the latest Fenix Nightly build 125.0a1, and on Beta 124.0b1.
It is more visible when the toolbar is set at the top.
