Every so often, we all recieve emails that have been forwarded, or replied to
several hundred times it seems... so that it looks something like:

Would be nice if there were an option to clean it up, and remove all the
quotations and make the email readable again.

For example, select the text you want to quote, right click on it and select
"cleanup reply"

Turning a mail that forwarded around the office:

this would be solved by an option to remove a specified level of quotes.
just specify all levels.

No, bug 71583 asks to delete whole lines at a certain depth, where this bug asks
to delete the quote-indicator (>).  The difference is one of cleaning
presentation versus removing content.
