Steps to reproduce:
Add new Gmail email account.
Actual results:
Redirected to enter email address and password at Gmail. Pressed next and received error that website not found.
Expected results:
Went on to enter Gmail password and create the account in Thunderbird.

I'm not sure what happend, but it's working in general, and is not a Thunderbird bug.
Likely a server side error, or alternatively some 3rd party software on your computer (antivirus/malware/firewall) changing the traffic to something it shouldn't be.
