Steps to reproduce:
Go to https://www.exit109.com/~dnn/clips/VerticalVideo.html (or any other website which serves portrait video in native video player) from Android version of Firefox, open the video in full-screen mode and try to access controls
Actual results:
The controls in the bottom are missing and there is no way to open them (clicking on the screen has no impact) - hence no way to control playback in full-screen mode
Expected results:
The problem seems to have occurred in Firefox 121, and until now is still not fixed in the last Nightly build 124a1, the Firefox 120.1.1 does show controls in video player in full-screen portrait mode

This works in desktop so I guess might be an android integration thing. Moving to Fenix so that team can take a look.

Hi,
I've tried reproducing your issue without success with a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (Android 14).
The controls are available and fully functional.
Tested builds: Nightly 124.0a1 (from 2024-02-14) and RC 123.0.
What device did you use? Maybe I have one of those or a similar one to try reproduce this issue on.
Thank you!

The issue has initially occurred on Realme 8 (rUI 2.0, Android 11) and is also happened on my Xiaomi Mi A2 lite (Android 8.1). I wonder if the possible reason could be Android <13 version, sadly have no other phone nearby on Android >11 to try to reproduce.
Not sure if the following somehow connected with this issue, but as you can see on the screen record, an android status bar is not hidden while in full-screen mode (I attached the screenshot)

Hi,
I've used a Xioami Mi11 Lite (Android 11) as a device close to one of yours, and while the main issue I still couldn't reproduce (the bottom controls are displayed and they are functional), I did reproduce a similar issue to this last one you presented (the status/notification bar is not entirely displayed), however this, or at least a similar one was already logged which probably would have the same fix: 1870658.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Fenix::Browser Engine' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

I could reproduce this issue under Pixel 6 with Nightly (20240527) + Enable Toolbar redesign in Secret Settings.
