There have been requests to not draw as much attention to spam or junk messages by default in Cards View. Currently we bold the subject and make it red. This is to indicate that a spam message could be dangerous, such as a phishing attempt or malicious attachment. However by making this the default state it can draw attention away from the rest of the mailbox. To help mitigate this we can make the default state much more subtle while making any interactions more clear that they are interactions with a potentially dangerous message.
