User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:123.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/123.0

Steps to reproduce:

Sorting messages by date with enabled threading

Actual results:

Threaded messages are displayed in the same [sub-]order, independently whether the sorting is ascending or descending. As it is, this sorting makes no sense with newest messages top (but is correct for eldest messages top).
See enclosed picture (messages belonging to threads marked in red).

Expected results:

Mails listed chronologically. When the newest messages are top, the latest message of a thread should be above the elder ones. Thus, 12.2.2024 above 22.1.2024 above 22.1.2024 11:08 and 21.5.2023 above 21.6.2021.
In other words: same chronological sorting for threaded messages, as choosed for the whole list.

If using sort by 'Date', 'Threaded' and either 'Descending or Ascending'.
Threaded messages are sorted by the oldest/original thread, not any of it's subthreads.
In other words, assume all threads are in a collapsed state, then everything is sorted by the 'Sort by' options.
Any expanded threads will not be sorted using the sort order. They are sorted in order of conversation, so newest is always at the bottom.
