Preconditions

  • Ubuntu opened in Wayland

Steps to reproduce

  1. Inside the terminal execute export MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=0
  2. Open Firefox Nightly from the terminal.
  3. Open about:support and search Window Protocol

Expected result

  • No errors in the terminal and Firefox is in XWayland Window Protocol.

Actual result

  • Error: Failed to open Wayland display, fallback to X11. WAYLAND_DISPLAY=wayland-0DISPLAY= :0`` error in the terminal and Firefox opens in X11 Window Protocol.

  • Attached a screenshot.
  • I don't know if this is expected so please close this as INVALID if this behavior is expected after bug 1882998. Thank you!
