Environment:
Operating System: Windows 10 PRO x64
Firefox version: Firefox Nightly 125.0a1 (2024-03-10)

Preconditions:
Clean profile

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Navigate to: https://www.google.com/maps/
  2. Input a destination and click on "Indications".
  3. Select a departure point or arrival point (as asked by the page)
  4. Hit enter and observe the result.

Expected Behavior:
The route preview transition is smooth

Actual Behavior:
The route preview transition is janky

Notes:

  • Reproducible regardless of the status of ETP
  • Reproducible on the latest build of Firefox Nightly and Release
  • Works as expected using Chrome
  • Best observed for very long routes
  • Screenrec attached
  • Issue found during WebCompat team [Top100] websites testing
