Steps to reproduce:
Went to https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/brouter-offline-fahrrad-routing-fur-android/62371
Actual results:
Translation was not offered.
Expected results:
I don't expect Firefox to detect the language; after all, it's German text on an English site. But I would like to have a button to ask for a trasnlation irrespective on whether Firefox detected the language or not.

Mark as new since it is an enhancement and needs engineering input. I was able to reproduce the issue on Win11x64 using FF build 125.0. Thank you.

Hi Marcos Dione, thanks for submitting this bug!
I'm going to mark this as WONTFIX because we do offer a way to trigger translations manually.
In release Firefox you should be able to access the Full Page Translations Panel from the Application Menu at the top of the browser UI (see top part of attached image).
I am also currently working on a feature to translate only a highlighted selection of text which is not yet available, but should be released later this year (see bottom part of attached image).
Please feel free to reply to this same bug if you have any difficulty finding these options. Here is our Translations support article as an additional resource.

For the record: In the Firefox support, it has already caused irritation a few times that no translation icon was visible in the address bar. Especially because there are quite a few websites whose actual language does not match the HTML lang attribute, and Firefox seems to strictly follow this attribute instead of doing a language detection. In such cases, people don't understand why there is no translation icon in the address bar. It's true that it's possible to access the feature from the application menu, but that's not obvious and not every user is aware of that.
