There's some confusion here, this bug should probably be renamed because it blocks bug 1885951 and that's more about removing storage/archives which won't improve storage init perf.
If there's intention to remove some of the unaccessed origins to improve storage init perf, a new bug should be filed for that.
Actually, we should start with bug 1981669 I think.
