After I wrote an article about the translation feature for selected text, I received feedback via social media that it should be possible to resize the translation panel. Since I couldn't find an existing ticket, I opened this one to suggest it as enhancement.

Hey Sören,
Thanks for writing that article, and for your interest in this feature!
I appreciate you filing this bug here, and it's great to know that there is already constructive feedback on the feature even though it is still actively under development.
While I don't think that the panel border dimensions themselves will be easily resizable for technical reasons, I did experiment with making the text area within the panel vertically resizable. This worked well on Linux and macOS, but I got reports that it behaved strangely on Windows, so I disabled the resizing in Nightly for now.
Resizing wasn't initially part of the design, but I agree that resizing of some sort would be desirable functionality.
The panel does already have some very simple, arbitrary logic to make itself larger if the source text is beyond a certain character threshold (see attached image).
I am going to keep working with my UX designers to try to find a good story for resizing the panel by the time the feature is released.
