I discovered some tests are adding messages with an initial From line to folders using addMessage. Another From line gets added and the first is escaped, so the mbox file for the folder contains:
From
>From - Mon Jan 01 00:00:00 2001
The message parsing doesn't handle this well, and a displayed message shows much more than it should.
