RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1891889

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/15.6.1 Safari/605.1.15

Steps to reproduce:

Installed T'bird 115.10.0 immediately when it was released, on 16 April 2024

Actual results:

It ran as usual. When I tried to shut down the computer, that failed because T'bird would not quit. I had to force quit.

Expected results:

T'bird should have quit.
I still have to force quit, even after multiple attempts, and after multiple shut-downs and long waits to see if T'bird is doing some background work like indexing or whatever.

Also, "Run filters on folder" and "Run filters on message" and filtering in general have never reliably worked in T'bird. That whole engine is wonky...

Made incident reports to Apple when had to force quit.
