As part of the new profiles work, we want to put a badge on each running instance's dock (macos) or taskbar (windows) item to help users differentiate between them, and update that badge as users customize a given running profile.

Pinning separate profiles to the dock on macos requires some creative hacks and is split out into bug 1893688.
