Steps to reproduce:

Tried to sort messages by Subject.

In --safe-mode all the time.

Actual results:

An incorrect result.

Expected results:

Messages sorted correctly.

What is the exact content of the Subject: header line for those mis-sorted messages.

Please be a little more verbose. What do you think is wrong?
As far as I can see, everything is correct.
Nothing can be said about the lines beginning with Re: because you have cut off too much.

Or is that perhaps your problem? No, the Re: is not taken into account when sorting.
