Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:126.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/126.0

Steps to reproduce:

I accidentally commented with Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Actual results:

I wanted to edit my comment to remove it, but could not find an option to do so.

Expected results:

There should be an option to edit comments.

The ability to delete Personally Identifiable Information is a legal requirement according to GDPR Article 17: https://gdpr-info.eu/art-17-gdpr/

Create a matrix account, and ask one of the bugzilla admins in chat to delete whatever you need deleted. You'll want the bugzilla.mozilla.org room.

Creating a matrix account and contacting an admin just to edit a comment is unnecessarily difficult.

In the meantime, I found the "Data Subject Access Request Portal" linked from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/privacy/websites/ which is a bit less ridiculous, but still user hostile.

There really should be an edit button.

There is but you don't have the privilege to use it. If we offered it to new users spammers would abuse it.
