Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130

After user password gets changed on pop server, say during a telnet session, the
pop3 client doesn't give a popup window with which to change the password being
sent. Only an error message is given that the password is incorrect. There is no
way to actually change the password that the client sends.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. change user password on pop3 server.
2. attempt to access email with mozilla mail client.
3.

Actual Results:
Error message about password being incorrect. I don't have the exact message
available right now because I already fixed the problem by using an old copy of
Netscape mail 6.2.3 (which was on my system) to try to download new mail. It
immediately gave me a popup window to enter the new password.

Expected Results:
Mozilla mail should have provided a popup window from which to change the password.
I'm able to duplicate this problem using an IMAP account (reset/change IMAP
password) Your able to remove the password from the "Password Manager" but this
is not exactly user friendly. Under "server settings" for each account their
should be a field ( text box ) that permits the user to enter their password.
