From the github PR ( https://github.com/w3c/PNG-spec/issues/310 ), it looks like this is probably the same thing as in bug 1682759.

More context in https://github.com/w3c/PNG-spec/issues/310#issuecomment-1883520532 - it looks like we simply don't pull EXIF information from PNG images right now (though we do from JPEG images).
