Content width slider has no effect after half if the window is displayed on half of the screen

Preconditions

  • Have firefox in windowed mode.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open firefox and navigate to wikipedia.com or any other site that can have Reader view.
  2. Enable reader view and modify the content width options.

Expected result

  • The width of the content is properly modified through all the options available.

Actual result

  • If firefox window is narrow only a few options in the content width slider are working .

We might want to ask for UX input on this. Uncertain what solution would be best to either indicate or adjust for when the larger end of the range is bigger than the viewport width.

I'm going to judge this as an S4, until we can consult UX. The old menu controls had this same behavior, too. Technically the width is increasing (the pref's changing), but because that width is wider than the viewport, there's no real indication of that occurrence.

We've decided to change this report type from a defect to an enhancement on the consideration that the same behavior is observed in older versions, before this implementation.
