It can be hard to know exactly what will happen when you run the mach try perf --alert command that is given in comment 0. We should add some documentation somewhere about this, or include a link to this documentation there: https://firefox-source-docs.mozilla.org/testing/perfdocs/mach-try-perf.html#running-alert-tests

The current mention of mach try perf --alert in comment 0 should mention that it runs ALL the tests in the alert summary to make sure that what it does is clear to others.
