The navigation menu on the right pane of the swisscable.ch page is a Java
Applet. When you hover the mouse cursor over the menu items and click them,
sooner or later some red text boxes appear outside the browser window and garble
the screen. See screen shot. Notice the red bars in the upper left corner of the
screen, the Mozilla menu bar (!), over the actual menu (weird), and over the
tray bar icons. After closing the browser the bars dont disappear. Only after
you force the screen to repaint the red bars are gone.



Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enter URL www.swisscable.ch
Page loads, Java Plugin loads, Applet starts
2. Hover mouse over menu items, click menu items, play around


Actual Results:  
Suddenly some menu items appear outside the browser window.

Expected Results:  
Constraint applet to screen region or labeled window.

Not even sure if this is a Mozilla bug, a Java Bug or an OS Bug. Would like to
hear from other platforms (NT/2k, Linux). Does anybody see this too?

this bug sounds the same as http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=165724

I get the same problem on Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US;
rv:1.7) Gecko/20040608

When I have multiple tabs open and I visit http://www.swisscable.ch/
in one tab, the menu keeps showing through when I switch to other tabs!

The same occurs at http://ecoplan.org/ 

The ecoplan menu only shows up on other tabs if you move the mouse over it.

So as I write this I have both the ecoplan and the swisscable.ch menus showing
through! They remain until I close those tabs.

I changed the OS to "all" because it has been seen on Win98 and Mac OSX and
there doesn't appear to be an option to only select two OSs.

(correction: I tried to, but it wouldn't let me)

Still a problem in Deer Park Alpha 2 / Mac OS X.  Why is this marked unconfirmed
and/or not a dupe of bug 165724?
