When in Offline Mode, if you reply to a message, save it as a draft, then re-open and send the draft, then the original message does not get marked as replied. This appears to be the same problem described in Bug 128996 (and its numerous duplicates), except that it occurs only when in Offline Mode.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Enter Offline Mode (File → Offline → Work Offline)
  2. Select any message that has not yet been marked as replied to and press the "Reply" button. A composer window appears.
  3. Save the reply as a draft (File → Save)
  4. Close the message composer window (File → Close)
  5. Select the Drafts folder and then double-click on the draft you just saved. A composer window appears.
  6. Use the Send Later command (File → Send Later)
  7. Go online (File → Offline → Work Offline). A dialog appears asking whether to send the pending messages.
  8. Press the "Send Now" button.
  9. Go back to the folder containing the message you replied to.

Expected behaviour:

  • The original message should be marked as replied.

Observed behaviour:

  • The original message is not marked as replied.

Does it happen in version 128?

Yes, still reproducible using Thunderbird 128.3.0esr using the same sequence of steps as in my original report.
