Details
[Affected versions]:
- Firefox Release 129.0, BUILD ID: 20240801122119.
- Firefox Release 128.0, BUILD ID: 20240704121409.
[Affected Platforms]:
- Windows 10 x64.
- macOS 14.3.
- Ubuntu 22.04.
[Prerequisites]:
- Have the user.js and the ExperimentStoreData.json files downloaded on your computer.
- Create a new Firefox profile.
[Steps to reproduce]:
- Launch the browser using the profile from the prerequisites.
- Install the Fakespot addon.
- Navigate to the profile folder and paste the user.js and ExperimentStoreData.json files from prerequisites.
- Restart / re-launch the browser using the profile from the prerequisites.
- Open the “about:studies” page and observe the behavior.
[Expected result]:
- The user is NOT enrolled in the US Review Checker V3 Experiment Stage 1.
[Actual result]:
- The user is enrolled in the US Review Checker V3 Experiment Stage 1.
[Notes]:
- This issue is reproducible regardless of when the Fakespot addon is installed; if it was installed after enrollment in the US Review Checker V3 experiment, the user is not unenrolled afterwards.

Thanks for filing. Enrolling addon users is expected behavior for v3. The experiments and rollouts do not exclude Fakespot addon users anymore, since RC v2 (see Fakespot Add-On Users heading in v2 brief). This v3 round will be the same as v2, but with ads enabled.
