Just filing this for tracking purposes. Many users are annoyed that they can't open their search engine by clicking on it anymore (without entering text)

Thanks for the report and the link, this is already covered by a couple of bugs filed - see Bug 1907034 comment 2 and bug 1912132 comment 2 for the rationale behind this. However, I'll discuss the feedback with the team next week.

I'm going to mark this as a duplicate of bug 1907034 so that we can track everything in one place.
