Steps to reproduce:

On Windows 10, TB 128.1.0 I sent an email that contains German umlauts which are special characters (like ä or ü or ö).

Actual results:

Recipient gets changes characters displayed, e.g. "für ändere" instead of "für ändere".

Expected results:

corrects characters should have been displayed, e.g. "für ändere"

on Linux debian 12 bookworm with TB 115 all umlauts works fine

Will be fixed in 128.1.1. As a workaround, set pref mail.strictly_mime to true.
