User-Agent: Mozilla/4.79 [en] (Windows NT 5.0; U)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021212
I have multiple outgoing servers, 2 for IMAP accounts and 1 for a POP account
(I mention that because perhaps this has something to do with copying to the
Sent folder). I only have two incoming accounts and they are both IMAP. There
are a number of problems with this.
1) Select a server in the Mail & News Preferences.
2) Click advanced
Now there are three rows in the drop down after "Always use the default server",
but the middle row is EMPTY.
Now when I select any other server than the first one listed, the browser
crashes when I send mail.
I have reproduced this with the same accounds on THREE machines, 2 Win2k and one
XP machine. No matter what I do, I CAN'T send mail from other than the first
account in the drop down.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have two IMAP accounts
2. Have three outgoing servers
3. Select a nondefault server for the second IMAP account
4. Notice the f-ed up drop down when setting the above server
5. Compose and send a mail
Actual Results:
The "Sending mail" dialog pops up, then the browser crashes.
Expected Results:
Not sucked.
I have no spell checking. I've seen those bugs.
I don't know how to find the talkback ID, but I've posted this crash with my
email address many times trying to get it to work.

I added a third incoming server and now the thing freezes with maxed out cpu
when I click compose, reply, or forward. I'll attach the windows dump files.
This continued to happen after I removed the third server, so now I can't send
mail at all.
File was too large so here is a link:

I am now using 1.3b. I went through my pref.js and discovered some indexing
issues with the smtp servers. I fixed it up and now things work. I have my
server2 manually set to use smtp2. However, when I try to use the advanced
settings in prefs, the second smtp is still listed as blank. If I select it, it
overrides the smtp for server2 to be empty string. Go figure.

Looks like bug 164062. Reporter, can you get the SMTP server settings to be
screwed up again? If so, how do you do that?
Blocks: profile-corrupt
Summary: Crash when sending mail with multiple outgoing servers → Crash when sending mail with multiple outgoing servers (corrupt SMTP server entries in prefs.js)

Please excuse me. This looks like bug 178659, not the other one.
