User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:130.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/130.0

Steps to reproduce:

Just upgraded from 128.2.1 64bit to 128.2.2 64bit

Actual results:

EVrytime I try to send an email I got a SMTP timeout error. It happens with gmail but also with 2 different local companies emails. I disabled both AV and Firewall but isuue was still there. Once rolled backf rom 128.2.2 to 128.2.1 everyhting came back to life and it's working fine and smooth.

Expected results:

Sending and receiving emails as smooth as before

also with 2 different local companies emails

Which SMTP servers are those using? Are they also google/microsoft or others using OAuth2?

All tne stuck servers are OAuth2

One more info: It crashes when I try to quit Thunderbird, after getting this timeout error.

FWIW, I'm not seeing a send problem with gmail accounts using oauth2 for SMTP on 128.2.2esr.
My mail.smtpserver.smtpX.oauth2.scope is set to https://mail.google.com/ for my two gmail accounts. I haven't touched this.

Alex, the developer has a test build based on 128 code and would like feedback on whether it works or still fails. Linux, Mac and Windows:

You can install the test build and use your current Thunderbird data profile. In most cases you are likely using a profile named xxxxx.release-default. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-multiple-profiles for guidance on profiles

Flags: needinfo?(alex.segala)

If it doesn't work, please get the logs which you will find in Error Console - ctrl+shift+J on linux and Windows, command+shift+J on Mac.

The test build is based on version 128 - I have corrected the instructions in comment 5.
