Steps to reproduce:

thunderbird 128.2.3esr linux. Exchange protocol error

  1. create new account
  2. fill fullname, email. password - leaved blank
  3. Click "Continue"
  4. In a new popup window enter your account password - Ok
  5. Select "Exchange Web Services"
  6. Click "Done"

Actual results:

Receive: "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nslMsgAccountManager.createIncomingServer]"
and "Password verification"

Expected results:

new account in thunderbird with exchange protocol

if I fill in the password during registration (clause 2), it simply displays "Checking password" and does nothing further
