Telemetry from the legacy panels records:

  • The number of searches from the sidebar, per view (e.g.: bookmarks, history).
  • The number of history items opened from the History sidebar.

We should be recording these items from the revamped panels as well. Bug 1923028 will be migrating the scalars over to Glean, so we can leverage some of that work to avoid writing to legacy telemetry.
