Details

Steps to reproduce: Click on the location bar to set focus. I typically move the
mouse a bit down to see what I'm typing. Delete any contents and enter a new
URL. The autocompletion kicks in, showing a list of possible completions. Now,
click on the completion the mouse is currently over *without moving the mouse*.
(You obviously have to have the mouse positioned correctly beforehand). The
browser tries to load the partially entered URL, in my case www.m (and
www.m.com) instead of www.mozilla.org, the item the mouse was over. Moving the
mouse prior to clicking fixes this.

Tested with 1.3beta (2003021008) and 1.2.1 (20021130) on SuSE Linux 8.0.
I can reproduce this on solaris 8/sparc using build ID 20030209. How to do it:

1) Double-click in the url bar, then move the mouse below it into the personal
toolbar area or the tab area. It needs to be positioned so that the url dropdown
will appear underneath the mouse.

2) Focus should still be on the url bar. Hit backspace and type something that
should produce a lot of url completions, such as "bug" (for bugzilla).

3) The url bar should open and display several URLs. the one under the mouse is
not highlighted.

4) Try to left-click without moving the mouse. If you succeed, mozilla will load
the partially typed url, not the one clicked on. If the url under the mouse
highlights, you moved the mouse.

Confirming & reassigning to url bar.
