This is quite unfortunate. Is there any other option besides changing our internal shortcut that is worth exploring? I can't imagine that we'd want to "disable" window tiling by intercepting these shortcuts before they are sent to the native menu system.

FWIW I can't think of any options other than changing our shortcut which is unfortunate. Do you know if other browsers have this same shortcut?

Mossop, do you think we have other options here?

The default shortcuts for Chrome and Safari are Ctrl+Tab and Shift+Ctrl+Tab. Since these are identical, it might be worth matching these shortcuts.

We already support these shortcuts.

Adding one aspect here that isn't mentioned yet: shortcuts to move tabs left or right are also not working anymore on MacOS 15.
| Command | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Move Tab Left | Ctrl + Shift + Page Up |
| Move Tab Right | Ctrl + Shift + Page Down |

Release Note Request (optional, but appreciated)
[Why is this notable]: regression - Known issue
[Affects Firefox for Android]: no
[Suggested wording]: fn-control-up/down (aka Control-PageUp/PageDown) shortcuts are no wtaken over by macOS Sequoia window tiling. Use Ctrl+Tab and Shift+Ctrl+Tab instead.

(Markus told me about option-command-left/right as an alternative here)

Could Option+Command+Shift+left/right be changed to be shortcuts for "Move Tab Left" and "Move Tab Right" actions?

Purely from an accessibility perspective, control+tab and control+shift+tab are more conventional, so there is a discoverable workaround. I'm triaging this as access s3 because of this, but breaking muscle memory is nasty, so I totally respect the s2 overall here.

That would break those people who were using that shortcut. Maybe Option+Command+Up/Down?
Aside from a relnote, this needs SUMO updates presumably, as those pages would be out of date.
