Steps to reproduce
Scenario A:
- Open a new tab.
- Open Unified Search button, select any search engine from the dropdown.
- Input a string and dismiss the address bar dropdown by clicking on webpage.
Scenario B:
- Open a new tab.
- Open Unified Search button, select any search engine from the dropdown.
- Enter a string and perform a search.
Scenario C:
Go to about:config and set browser.urlbar.usb.dynamic
to false
- Repeat A and B scenarios from above
Actual result
- Broken UI, please see the attached screenshot attached.

Issue is reproducible on a 2024-12-12 Nightly build on Windows 10.
Verified as fixed on Firefox Nightly 135.0a1 on Windows 10, Ubuntu 22, macOS 14.
