Preconditions

• browser.urlbar.usb.dynamic set to true
• browser.urlbar.scotchBonnet.override set to true (default)

Steps to reproduce
Scenario A:

1. Open a new tab.
2. Open Unified Search button, select any search engine from the dropdown.
3. Input a string and dismiss the address bar dropdown by clicking on webpage.

Scenario B:

1. Open a new tab.
2. Open Unified Search button, select any search engine from the dropdown.
3. Enter a string and perform a search.

Scenario C:
Go to about:config and set browser.urlbar.usb.dynamic to false

1. Repeat A and B scenarios from above

Actual result

• Broken UI, please see the attached screenshot attached.

Issue is reproducible on a 2024-12-12 Nightly build on Windows 10.
Verified as fixed on Firefox Nightly 135.0a1 on Windows 10, Ubuntu 22, macOS 14.
