User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2) Gecko/20021203 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2) Gecko/20021203 After a long and intensive usage of one and still same window of mozilla images in pages using CSS to put images on background have delayed the redraw of these images after Reload, even if the page is cached or local. This is not caused by slow machine or whatever related to machine/network performace. This was reproduced on Mozilla 1.0.1, 1.2.1 on different linux boxes. I did not test that other platform personaly, but I think this also happens on win. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: This is hard to reproduce it because it needs some time, and possibly some kind of usage of mozilla. 1.Open Mozilla, load test page http://www.czilla.cz/, try to reload - it should reload with whole page drawn at once. 2.Use Mozilla for some hours. Do not close this window, use it for tabbed browsing with all the things internet provides to you (java.. etc) 3.Open test page in new tab load it and reload it, or you can test it on page you loaded after opening Mozilla. Actual Results: Firstly all the text and background colors are drawn, then after some delay (this delay depends on how long Mozilla was used (probably)) all images are filled into page. Expected Results: Page redrawn at once after reload. I do not thing it is same as bugs: bug#132936, bug#121787 or bug#57607 These points to fact that status is "Done" even if page is not loaded with background images due to slow line. I provide it as minor, while this only causes some rare estetical harm to pages.
This is very very much bug 57607. What's happening in your case is that you're filling the image cache as you browse, till the backgrounds get evicted. Then you reload the page, and we don't _start_ the background loads (which will be a cache miss at this point) until the first paint (which usually happens up to a second after the page has started to load). Marking dependent, but I think this is a dup.
Depends on: latebg
This happens then every time you hit reload button on this page. Not only at the first time. It's happen to me now, after 3hours of browsing. If I do reload page, I get even worse situation because images are displaying in some sequences (not at once as I described bellow). To get them all at once you can use link "Novinky" a click on it more times (first text is drawn, then all images filled). Now I made one more experience: If I can see this behaviour and I open a new window, then I load page in this new window, then reload the page in new window, everything is correct. Getting back to the parent window (not closing new one), hitting reload = everything OK. No delay. But till you open new window with the page, the delay is there after each hit of reload or clicking link. EVEN MORE when you close the new window, the problem is back again in parent window. If this matches cache miss, make it dupe.
marking target, right now I am looking out till 1.4 and currently I don't plan on looking at this till afterwards.

I'd say that reported problem is a definitely dupe of 57607.
Maybe it is also that - just my suspicion - that background images (maybe just those linked through CSS) are not cached correctly or at all. I'll create a testcase later.

Is this still an issue now that bug 57607 is fixed?
