Wondering if this and bug 1937317 is expected behavior.

Blocks: media-triage

Likely something to do with audio clocks.

I've been affected by this bug on Android for some time too, currently on version 144.

It'd be good to know if this is still a problem in recent builds. We landed thread priority fixes in Firefox 143 (bug 1931080) and AAudio buffering adjustments in Firefox 151 (bug 2026000).

For Windows, it's possible this was fixed by bug 2011578 in Firefox 150. If you're able to test the latest version and let us know if you're still seeing the issue, that'd be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Nope, I am no longer seeing this issue. Noticed it recently. Thank you!

Thanks for confirming! I'll mark this as fixed.

Erwin, if you're still seeing Android-specific issues that aren't fixed in Firefox 151, please open a new bug and CC me to investigate.

Hello! We reproduced the issue with Firefox 135.0a1 (2024-12-27) on Windows 11 using Red Mi Buds 5 Pro.
Confirming as well that the issue is no longer reproducible on Windows 11and macOS 27 with Firefox 154.0a1 (2026-07-14) and 153.0b12. The video continues playing in other speakers after the Red Mi Buds 5 Pro are stopped or disconnected. On Ubuntu 26 the video pauses on both Chrome and Firefox.
