Perfherder has detected a build_metrics performance regression from push 75c922c458cd96db038890f382b1a59b41089356. As author of one of the patches included in that push, we need your help to address this regression.

This is a known regression which we have decided to take. This will not ride the train until WebGPU does (towards the end of H1). By then we might manage to bring the size down a bit, but the installer size regression will remain in this ballpark.
