User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030221 Phoenix/0.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030221 Phoenix/0.5 When I press Ctrl+N or open a new window from the file menu, the new window goes back to my homepage, not the page I had opened the window from. For example, if I open a window in www.xyz.net/forums/index.htm, the new window does not go to that URL, but back to my homepage, www.aol.com. I am more used to the new window staying at the URL where I last was when opening it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to a page other than homepage. 2. Press Ctrl+N or open new window from File menu. Actual Results: A new window opened, but went to my homepage. Expected Results: It should have remained at the URL where I was when I opened the new window.
Not a bug; intended behaviour. Btw, it doesn't go "back" to your homepage, it starts from your homepage. Dupe of WONTFIXed bug 187573. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 187573 ***
