For users with only one email account, the "Get New Messages for" menu item and
submenu can be confusing (well, it have been for me). Simply hide it when there
is only one account and there would be no confusion.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Look at File menu in main Mail window.
2.

Sounds good to me. Checked for duplicates and found none, so confirming.

I have long wondered why the toolbar button doesn't default to Get ALL New
Messages (for email). I have three POP accounts configured, and when I want to
check mail I want to check them all; it would be more convenient if I could just
click the button, rather than have to drop down the menu.
If this were the default, then this bug would be a simple matter of only
creating the menu if there were more than one mail account. Perhaps, even
cleaner, have 'Get Messages for Account' be only on a context menu, and never
have a menu on the button.
I'm sure there must be people somewhere who for some reason need or want to
access only one account at a time, but they are probably the ones who are
adept enough to use context menus.
I don't feel comment 2 belongs here: IMHO it should be an other bug request.
Therefore see Bug 203483 ;-)
