When Thunderbird Monthly upgrades, it opens a What's New page in the browser like this:
https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/135.0/whatsnew/?locale=en-US&version=135.0&channel=release&oldversion=134.0

Monthly shouldn't be showing a What's New page.

I'm able to recreate on a Linux install from thunderbird.net.

The url is generated here for the release channel but from what I understand this isn't where it's enabled: https://searchfox.org/comm-central/source/mail/config/whats_new_page.yml#27

Release channel updates should not be showing a What's New page.

Tested the approach with mochi tests locally and will officially test on release channel.

Low. It's a simple change that affects balrog update properties.

It is just disabling the What's new page for the release channel.
