Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:136.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/136.0

Steps to reproduce:

Firefox 136.0b4 Build ID 20250210091604
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:136.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/136.0

  • clean profile
  • create primary password (nothing else changed from default profile)

Actual results:

  • closed Firefox and re-launched
  • prompted to enter primary password; selected cancel
  • repeated prompt to enter primary password; selected cancel
  • Firefox launch continues as normal with no more password prompts

Expected results:

should not be prompting for primary password at launch.

Note that I do not see this behaviour when using Fx on Linux
