Yes, this is intended. We disabled about:config and about:addons for beta and release builds.

Closing as WONTFIX.
I rely on making modifications to change custom pixel scaling when using Firefox Beta to use it as an "always in desktop mode" version of the app.

I know this veers off-topic but how can I do this in the future?
Is it only Nightly that has access to this now, or can you enable it again after enabling developer mode somehow?
