This is bug 184375 but that bug was resolved as duplicate by the weird
IRRELEVANT windows bug 193198. People who resolve bugs should be VERY CAREFUL
not to do this! This is a mac thing. It has nothing to do with other
programs. Do NOT kill this bug - please FIX it as it is a Browser KILLER.
If Netscape or Exploiter did this the browser would be abandoned.
It is one of several totally unacceptable bugs that has been sidetracked
by this system.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. run for a while on Mac OS X 10.2.4 (the very latest)
2. do someting do anything, who knows?
3. a window will go grey. if it is a pulldown tab requesting
a password THE BROWSER IS DEAD AND YOU LOSE A CUSTOMER!
Actual Results:
Browser is unusable. Must kill and restart.

Expected Results:
There NEVER SHOULD BE GREY DISPLAY PANES. I think that ever place that this
is in the code should be inspected, the guts ripped out and replaced with
real code. It should NEVER happen.

To solve this bug locate the code that causes grey panes, and replace
it with sensible code.
bug 184375 is duped to bug 181293
and bug 181293 is a OS X bug and it exactly matches your description.

Why shouldn't I dupe it ?
