Preconditions

Set Firefox as default browser.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open an external app (i.e. Gmail, Instagram, Slack) and tap on a link.
2. Verify how the page content is displayed.
3. Tap on 3 dots menu and check the "Desktop site" toggle state.

Expected behavior

The custom tab is opened in Desktop mode on tablet.

Actual behavior

The Desktop site is disabled is custom tab on tablet.

Device information

• Firefox version: Firefox Nightly 139 (2025-04-03), Firefox 138 beta 2 and Firefox 137
• Android device model: Huawei MediaPad T5
• Android OS version: Android 8

Verifies as fixed in latest Nightly 140.0a1 from 06/05 with Samsung Tab S8 Ultra 5G (Android 14) and Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 (Android 12).
The custom tab is opened with Desktop mode enabled on tablet devices.
