Steps to reproduce:

pour les versions 137.0 et 137.1 :
Thunderbird m'a indiqué la présence d'une nouvelle version : je clique sur la proposition pour télécharger la mise à jour, puis je clique pour appliquer la mise à jour ( ce qui entraine l'arrêt puis relance de Thunderbird )
Je suis sous Windows 11 pro 23H2 à jour.

Actual results:

Thunderbird redémarre dans la même version que précédemment et propose à nouveau un redémarrage pour appliquer la même mise à jour.
J'ai donc téléchargé thunderbird et effectué l'installation manuellement. Malheureusement, la proposition de redémarrage est toujours présente, bien que la version installée est bien la dernière version.

Expected results:

La mise à jour aurait du s'appliquer comme pour les versions précédant la version 137.0

Thunderbird told me that there is a new version: I click on the proposal to download the update, then I click to apply the update (which causes the stop and then restarts Thunderbird )
I'm on an updated Windows 11 pro 23H2.

Actual results:

Thunderbird restarts in the same version as before and again proposes a restart to apply the same update.
So I downloaded thunderbird and made the installation manually. Unfortunately, the proposal for restarting is still present, although the installed version is indeed the latest version.

Expected results:

The update should have applied as for the versions preceding version 137.0

I think this is a dup of bug 1941931. Please let us know if that is not the case.
