Steps to reproduce:
- Open firefox in new profile
- Install sidebar addon (TST/Sidebery)
- Turn on Vertical Tabs
- Open "Customize sidebar" sidebar
- Enable "Hide tabs and sidebar"
- Open sidebar of installed addon
- Resize native vertical tabs area to 0 (needed in the good repro scenario)
- Open new window
Actual results:
Firefox always show native vertical tabs on opening new window (including browser start) despite "Hide tabs and sidebar" setting
Expected results:
No native tabs in new window

Bug 1921536 - Make the SidebarState the source of truth for the current sidebar command/panel and re-open previous panel when toggling the sidebar open.

I can reproduce this. It seems like when we collapse the launcher on click of "hide tabs and sidebar" and then open a new window, the state of the window opener to be adopted may not be correct.
