Users can currently move an inactive tab into a collapsed tab group by right-clicking on the tab and choosing to add it to an existing collapsed tab group, but the tab just seems to disappear after the user clicks the tab group name in the menu. We want to improve this experience by providing feedback. The tab group label of the collapsed tab group should have a short animation to indicate that a tab was moved into the group. Additionally, we want to provide a "toast" notification that tells the user what happened and provides a link that, when clicked, activates the tab that the user just moved. That will help users go to that tab if they want to start working with it.
